Mbps to MB/s
Convert megabits per second (Mbps) to megabytes per second (MB/s). 8 bits equal 1 byte.
Guide
Formula
MB/s = Mbps ÷ 8
Mbps means megabits per second while MB/s means megabytes per second. Because one byte contains 8 bits, divide by 8 when both prefixes are decimal. Letter case matters: b means bit and B means byte.
Note : This converts data-rate units; it does not predict the real throughput of a download.
Example : 500 Mbps
