US & Imperial mpg to L/100 km

Formula

L/100 km = constant ÷ mpg; the constant depends on U.S. or imperial gallons

mpg measures distance travelled per fuel volume, while L/100 km measures fuel volume used per distance. The relationship is therefore reciprocal: a higher mpg value produces a lower L/100 km value. U.S. and imperial mpg use different gallon definitions.

Note : Zero and negative values are not meaningful for this reciprocal conversion and are rejected.
